spe works very closely with local farmers from a local co-operative, the Sa Pa Indigenous Medicinal Plants Association (simpa) to develop their products.

Two novel essential oils are currently being used to develop spe's product range. These oils derive from the plants Elsholtzia Penduliflora and Elsholtzia Blanda. These plants have been used by local H'mong and Dao people for generations for the relief of flu symptoms, muscle and joint aches and pains, and insect bites. These oils are available as 100% pure essential oils and are also used in our relaxing massage balms and soothing soaps.

Sa Pa Essentials are unique: only the people of Sa Pa cultivate these plants and extract the oil from them. As well as providing you with a special experience, purchase of these products will contribute to improved livelihoods for the rural communities in the Sa Pa region of Vietnam, and will establish local concrete incentives for the conservatkion of beautiful and valuable medicinal plant species that may otherwise be in danger of extinction.
