We trek by road, along local paths and through terraced rice fields.

ta van - ban ho

Level of Difficulty:easy/moderate
Time: 09.30 – to mid-afternoon
Trekking: sealed road; local paths; rice terraces
Ethnic Minorities: Red Dao, Tay

The popularity of this trek lies in the fact that it takes the traveller further down the Muong Hoa Valley to the very pretty village of Ban Ho (a favourite of staff at Cat Cat View Hotel). The scenery is beautiful, and at Ban Ho Village there is the opportunity to meet people of the Tay minority. It’s one of our easier walks with some of the trek following the main paved road that winds its way down the valley, and therefore is particularly suitable for families with children
